"...This eventually got to a point where people got so shallow that the colors of the world started to fade. At first people didn't notice, or didn't care. Some of them actually welcomed a simpler life without deeper meaning. Suddenly there was no need to form your own opinion about the latest events. You just went with the flow. Every choice was either right or wrong. The world had become a place of easy-to-understand, but tasteless and dull, black and white.

Those that opposed the transformation at first, eventually got so shallow that they didn't even notice anything had ever changed. No one did. No one except for Roland..."

"The sketchy project" (working title) is a game that I have been working on for a while. The game is a classic puzzle solving adventure game disguised as a 2D platformer, and it tells the story of a world that has become black and white as a result of people’s shallowness.

All graphics are hand drawn by myself, i.e. genuine programmer art. The game features real time physics and physics-based puzzles to solve. The following videos show basic movement and collision detection, as well as real time physics, in the tutorial area. The videos are from a very early version of the game.

The sketchy project is developed on/for Windows-based computers and will be released when it is completed. I will update this page with more screen shots and videos soon. Stay tuned!
